The Armadale Youth Advisory Council (AYAC) is made up of young people aged 12-25 years with a passion for making the City of Armadale a great place for young people to live.
AYAC members currently meet fortnightly on Monday afternoons for informal meetings to connect with each other and discuss issues affecting young people.
AYAC allows young people to:
- Connect regularly with other community-minded young people
- Discuss issues they see in the community and brainstorm possible ways to help
- Find out what services and programs are available for young people in the area
- Actively share information on services and programs with their schools and other young people
- Attend community events where they can engage with the community and host activities for young people
- Provide advice and feedback to City staff and community organisations on projects affecting young people
- Be involved in their local community and represent their peers in a positive way
Young people who are interested in joining the AYAC can complete the application form below. Or reach out to the Community Development Team on 9394 5642 or csadministration@armadale.wa.gov.au to ask any questions.
