In accordance with the requirements of the Disability Services Act 1993 the City of Armadale has adopted an Access and Inclusion Plan 2021 - 2026 (‘AIP’) and acts to achieve the outcomes outlined in the Plan. The City’s AIP provides a planned approach to improving the City’s services and facilities in terms of both access and inclusion at a participatory and service level with an emphasis on people with disability.

The City of Armadale invites applications for interested members of the public to join the Access and Inclusion Reference Group, which assists in the review and implementation of the Plan in accordance with the group’s terms of reference available upon request

Availability
Members of the reference group are required to be available to attend regular meetings. These meetings are currently held bi monthly on a Thursday mostly in the morning.
Selection Criteria

1. Please provide a brief description of your interest in being part of the Access & Inclusion Plan Reference Group*
2. Please provide a brief description of any relevant experience in community activities or volunteer work, including any office positions within a Community Organisation or participation in other Council Committees*

3. Please provide a brief description of any relevant experience, skills or qualifications relating to the following areas:
3.1. Living with a disability / working with people with a disability*
3.2. Involvement in initiatives/ projects/ strategies to overcome access and inclusion barriers*
3.3. Involvement in developing, or advising on, Access and Inclusion Plans / legislation*
