Cat Registration Information
•All cats aged six months and over must be sterilised, microchipped and registered unless you have been given permission by the City of Armadale to be an approved breeder. A penalty of $200 may apply.
•The registration period for Cat Breeder Registration runs from 1 November to 31 October the following year. Cat Breeders can only register their cat for a maximum of one year at time. The expiry date of registration is shown on this registration form and can also be found on your cat's registration tag.
•To apply to be a registered Cat Breeder proof of current membership with one of the following organisations is required tobe provided at each year of registration or renewal;
oCats WA
oThe Australian National Cats
oThe Cat Owners Association of WA
•Under Section 23(2)(b) of the Cat Act 2011 a cat ownership cannot be transferred (which includes being sold, traded orgiven away), unless it’s microchipped and sterilised. This applies to all cats, not just those over six months of age. If the cat cannot be sterilised due to its young age, the current owner must issue a prepaid sterilisation voucher to the new owner.
•It is important to remember to notify the City of Armadale of any change of address, ownership, or if the cat is deceased within 28 days. No refund will be provided if you rehome your animal, they become lost or deceased.
•Cats must at all times wear current registration tag attached to their collar. This will help us reunite you with your cat should it become lost.
