Residential Design Codes Variation Application

This is not an application for Planning Approval.

• An application for a single house, outbuilding, patio or retaining wall is to be made on this form if an application for Planning Approval is not required under the Local Planning Scheme and the proposed development involves one of the following:
• The exercise of a discretion by the City under the Residential Design Codes
• The exercise of a discretion by the City under a Local Planning Policy made in accordance with the Local Planning Scheme

As the applicant, I confirm the below minimum requirements for a Residential Design Code Variation application;

1. I have attached a site plan, elevations and other relevant plans/documents are attached.

2. I have attached written justification identifying how the design principles of R-Code Volume 1, relevant scheme and local planning policies have been met.

3. I have attached written identification of design elements that are deemed not to comply.

4. I acknowledge the application fee is payable on submission and is non-refundable, should the application be determined as not required by the City of Armadale.

• Please provide details of each aspect of the proposed development which does not conform to a deemed- to-comply provision of the codes or a Local Planning Policy made under the Local Planning Scheme

• Please refer to the specific design principle or other provision under which the City’s discretionary decision is required and give full reasons in support of your proposal
